She will be joined on the panel by Edward Friedman of Vanderbilt University and ASU's own Ron Newcomer, who joins us again for the fifth time to talk about the history of the subject on film. There will also be a filmed interview of Man of La Mancha author Dale Wasserman and a live performance of the musical, without staging or scenery. The symposium will be held at the Carson Ballroom in Old Main on the ASU Tempe Campus. It is free and open to the public, beginning at noon and ending at 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. The Symposium will be followed by the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing's "Distinguished Visiting Writers Series Reading & Lecture and Book Signing" at 7:30 p.m. at the Carson Ballroom in Old Main. This event is also free and open to the public.
