Ira Aldridge Internships at ACMRS
The Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies is pleased to offer hands-on experience in publishing and marketing for undergraduate students at ASU. Interns will work directly with ACMRS staff and scholars on projects that will have a direct influence on the Center.
Interns will be paid $15/hour and work 10 hours a week in the ACMRS offices on campus. Interns may receive 3 upper division academic credits per semester if they so choose. The course of the internship is one academic year.
Publishing interns will assist with:
- The editorial process for manuscript submissions.
- The production of books and journals.
- Developing and improving database systems, processes, and electronic interfaces for journals.
- Copywriting for web and print collateral.
- Creating materials and strategies to promote ACMRS publications (in collaboration with ACMRS marketing).
Marketing interns will assist with:
- Social media marketing strategy and execution.
- Copywriting for web and print collateral.
- The creation of marketing materials and content (for social media, print, editorial, digital/electronic media, etc.).
- Development and analysis of campaigns and analytics.
- Promoting and coordinating events such as conferences, symposia, and lectures.
- Promoting, marketing, and publicizing books published by ACMRS Press.

Requirements
Undergraduate students pursuing an internship should have an academic classification as a junior or senior and be in good academic standing with at least a "C" (2.50) GPA.
